ALBUQUERQUE
Albuquerque Wine Festival – Located at the famous Balloon Fiesta Fairgrounds, the Albuquerque Wine Festival May 28th-30th combines wines from around the state, arts and crafts, food, live music and educational opportunities.
2011 Memorial Day Ceremony – New Mexico’s history reverberates with the names of famous military events and personalities May 30, 2011. The Veterans’ Memorial, amphitheater and newly opened museum evoke memories for all veterans – from the moment of their decision to serve until their return home. Honor those who help protect our nation amidst the inspiring beauty of New Mexico.
Memorial Ceremony – Memorial Day ceremony and celebration at Veterans Memorial Park on May 30.
Memorial Day Address – The City of Albuquerque and the United Veterans Council of New Mexico invite everyone to gather May 30th to remember those who have died in service to our nation. Retired Col. Timothy Hale, secretary of the state Department of Veterans Services, is scheduled to deliver the Memorial Day address.
Memorial Day Ceremony – Memorial Day ceremony and celebration at Sunset Memorial Park May 30th.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Weekend Celebrations – Memorial Day Ceremonies at the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial State Park May 27-30.
Carlsbad
Memorial Day Ceremony – Memorial Day ceremony and celebration at Eddy County Courthouse Lawn May 30.
Clovis
Memorial Day Celebration – Patriotic Concert presented by the Clovis Community Band as we remember those that gave their life for our freedom May 30th.
Elephant Butte
Annual Elephant Butte Fly Freedom’s Flag Boaters Parade – Elephant Butte State Park: Beginning at 10 a.m. POW/MIA services at Dam Site Restaurant patio, at noon boaters gather at Dam Site Marina for the decorated boat parade, to honor veterans, passing by Marina del Sur at 12:30 p.m. Saturday for a wreath toss and playing of taps. All are invited to decorate their boats, RVs or campsites in red, white and blue and join a parade honoring those who’ve served in the military.
Fly Freedoms Flag Parade – 7th annual decorated on the water boat parade. Flag and POW/MIA ceremony at Damsite patio 10 am. Parade begins at 12 noon wreath toss at Marina Del Sur 12:30

Memorial Day Ceremony – Memorial Day ceremony and celebration at Veterans’ Memorial Plaza May 30.
Farmington
Riverfest 2011 – The rivers of San Juan County are celebrated with a festival of music, fine arts, food, arts & crafts, entertainment, a 10K and 5K run and walk, riverside trail walks and river raft rides during Riverfest Friday-Sunday.
Gallup
Memorial Service at 9 a.m. located at Hillcrest Cemetery May 30.
Parade at Cemetery…to Courthouse Square at 10 a.m. May 30.

Gravesite Blessing Ceremony at Isletea Cemetery at 8 a.m. May 30.
Tucumcari
Valkyries Memorial Day BBQ Run – 5th Annual Memorial Day Ride and BBQ.
Tularosa
Memorial Day Ceremony at Tularosa Vet Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. May 30.
Las Cruces
Raising of Garrison Flag at Veterans Memorial Park at 8 a.m. May 30.
Memorial Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m. May 30.
Lowering of Garrison Flag at Veterans Memorial Park at 5 p.m. May 30.
Southern New Mexico Wine Festival – Not to be outdone, the Southern New Mexico Wine Festival at Southern New Mexico Fairgrounds in Las Cruces Saturday-Monday is also a treat for the entire family.
Los Alamos
Memorial Ceremony at Guaje Pines Cemetery at 11 a.m. May 30.
Red River
Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally – Get ready for the rumble as 20,000 bikers from all different backgrounds line Main Street for one crazy party. Live music can be found all over town, along with vendors carrying everything from leather and lace, to food and fun. Make sure you ride the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway while you’re here – an 83 mile loop through northern New Mexico’s most beautiful scenery! Monday morning everyone heads out together to visit the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Angel Fire, then it’s back to the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Rio Rancho
Veteran Monument – a memorial at the Veteran Memorial at 11 a.m. May 30.
Roswell
Hike It & Spike It Charity Flag Football Tournament – Not only is the Hike It and Spike It 4-on-4 Charity Flag Football Tournament at Cielo Grande Park in Roswell this world’s largest annual flag football tournament and a treat for the participants who battle it out on 39 fields; it is also a hoot for the estimated 25,000 players and spectators that descend on this Southeast New Mexico city.
